"After careful thought and deep consideration I've decided that I need to step away from pursuing my return to the Browns and my football career to enter an in-patient rehabilitation facility," Gordon said in the statement.
The Grizzlies are planning to give Gasol periodic nights off during the regular season, the Geoff Calkins of the Memphis Commercial Appeal reports. "There will be some games we sit [Gasol]," coach David Fizdale said. "I'm definitely going to preserve him."
