The Blue Jays have signed Gonzalez to a one-year contract with a team option for the 2011 season, the team's official site reports. Gonzalez will reportedly earn $2.75 million in 2010, and he could be in line to earn another $2.5 million in 2011 if the Jays pick up his option.

Recommendation:
Gonzalez, who split last season between the Reds and Red Sox, hit .238 with eight homers and 41 RBI over 112 games. He'll give the Jays some veteran stability at shortstop, some offensive production, as well as his usual quality glove work.
