Update:
According to 1050 ESPN Radio in New York, the Mets are close to signing Molina to a two-year deal.

Recommendation:
Molina had originally been holding out for a three-year deal while the Mets had offered one plus an option. It appears as if both sides are going to meet in the middle. If the Mets do add Molina to go with the Jason Bay signing, they will have addressed some of the power issues that plagued them last year. The next step will be for them to improve the starting rotation.
