Coach Jim Zorn said that Portis was "knocked out" when he suffered his concussion Sunday, the Washington Post reports. "You tell me what happened," Portis said after the game, which seems to confirm his coach's assessment. "I don't remember what happened."

Recommendation:
Zorn said it was too early to say how long Portis might be out, but did say the team would be "cautious" about Portis' return. Given that he was out cold, he has to be considered iffy for Week 10, at least initially. Ladell Betts would be in line for a start at running back next Sunday if Portis is indeed forced out.
