David Lee: Heading to Warriors? -  7/8/2010 7:31:05 AM

Update:
Golden State is close to a sign-and-trade with the Knicks that would bring Lee to the Warriors, the Contra Costa Times reports.

Recommendation:
The Warriors would send Anthony Randolph and a few other pieces to New York for Lee. Of course, the Knicks won't do anything with Lee until they know for sure what LeBron James is doing, but the Warriors seem to be the front runner if New York does swing a sign-and-trade. Lee's laissez-faire approach to defense would seemingly fit well with the Warriors' offensive-minded scheme, and teaming Lee with a backcourt of Monta Ellis and Stephen Curry would give Golden State a formidable array of scorers. The Nets and Timberwolves remain contenders for Lee as well.
