Update:
An MRI performed on Friday confirmed that Hinrich's left thumb ligament wasn't torn. He's visiting a specialist on Monday merely for "closure" and to get "more of a timetable" for how long he'll be sidelined, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Recommendation:
Hinrich is wearing a splint to protect the thumb, which is visibly swollen, and has all but ruled himself out of Monday's contest. The hope is that Hinrich might only be sidelined a few more days, but as of now, he is having trouble gripping the ball.
