Coach Todd Haley indicated that Smith (knee) will likely be activated for Sunday's game against Jacksonville, the Kansas City Star reports. "I'm optimistic about having the opportunity to see him play," Haley said.

Recommendation:
After missing much of training camp and spending the first eight weeks on the physically unable to perform list, Smith probably won't play a major role, but the Chiefs will be a little thin at running back due to Larry Johnson's suspension. Don't go out and grab him yet, but if Johnson is indeed done as a Chief and Jamaal Charles proves he can't handle the role of a feature back, Smith could have fantasy value at some point.
