Salo is on course to take part in next year's NASCAR Nationwide Series after completing a successful first test in a stock car last week, autosport.com reports.

Recommendation:
Salo appears ready to make the jump from open-wheel racing to NASCAR Nationwide Series racing. He tested a Michael Waltrip Racing Toyota at New Smyrna Raceway last week. Salo hopes to race full-time next season in the Nationwide Series and eventually jump to Sprint Cup in 2011.
