Paul Pierce: Returns After Knee Bruise Friday -  11/14/2009 7:25:12 AM

Update:
Pierce bruised his knee Friday colliding with Josh Smith on a drive to the basket. He sat out the final few minutes of the third, and was wearing a brace and had it taped when he came back early in the fourth quarter, the Associated Press reports.

Recommendation:
He was far and away the best Celtic in Friday's loss, with 24 points for the game, 10 more than the next best guy. The Celtics are right back at it Saturday against Indiana, so even though the injury doesn't seem serious, know that it's a minor issue. At the very least, the team would probably rest him in the fourth quarter of a blowout.
