Timberwolves general manager David Kahn will fly to Spain later this week to meet with Rubio and also to meet with DKV Joventut, Rubio's team in Spain, to try and reduce the $6.6 million buyout in his current contract, Yahoo! Sports reports.

Recommendation:
According to an unnamed source close to Rubio, he's warmed to the idea of playing for Minnesota as potential endorsement deals want him to get to the NBA quickly. The T-Wolves can only contribute $500,000 to a buyout and DKV Joventut has so far been resistant to reducing the total amount due in a buyout.
