Past Fantasy Outlooks

2005
2004
2003
In 2005 Baerga clogged up a 25-man roster spot with his steadily mediocre veteran bat and ability to play many infield positions badly, and chances are he'll do it again in 2006.
Signed by the Nationals to come off the bench.
Baerga showed he could still handle major-league pitching in 2003, with an .859 OPS in 225 PA. Arizona will utilize him as a pinch-hitter and/or a corner infielder in 2004. He might be worth a look in deeper NL-only leagues.
Baerga hit .286 in limited time for Boston in 2002. He'll be a utility player and right-handed pinch-hitter for the Diamondbacks in 2003. Baerga's not likely to get as many as 200 at-bats, however, unless a regular goes down.
