Johnson is hitting .280/.361/.542 with eight home runs and 19 RBI through 31 games for Double-A Trenton.
ANALYSIS
The 23-year-old's story remains the same: tons of power, too many strikeouts, no position at the big-league level. Still, if he can keep his average above .250, he'll make his way to the majors at some point for some team.

Johnson, Atlanta's 2006 first-round draft pick, has tons of power but has had trouble making contact (114 strikeouts in 233 at-bats in Double-A). It wasn't pretty, as he was demoted to High-A from Double-A at one point last season. Johnson was traded to the Yankees when the Braves didn't want to put him on the 40-man roster in November, but his new organization won't help his chances of reaching the majors any sooner.
Johnson, Atlanta's 2006 first-round draft pick, has great power but also strikes out a ton. He had 32 home runs for High-A Myrtle Beach last season despite striking out 171 times. His power is tantalizing, but he needs to make better contact for continued success at higher levels. He'll begin next season at Double-A and could rise quickly if he puts the ball in play more consistently.
Johnson, Atlanta's 2006 first-round draft pick out of high school, made a big improvement in his second season of professional baseball by posting a 1.004 OPS with 17 home runs in the rookie Appalachian League. He cut his strikeout rate nearly in half while still drawing walks at a decent clip. A strong season at Low-A could put him on the fast track to the majors.
Johnson, Atlanta's 2006 first-round draft pick out of high school, had severe problems making contact in his first look at pro pitching. His physical potential is impressive but he is very raw as a hitter. He was a risky selection in the first round.
