Doumit wasn't in Thursday's starting lineup, as the Twins plan to give Oswaldo Arcia extended playing time. Doumit did go 0-for-2 after replacing Arcia as a pinch-hitter. "I know Doumit, he can probably bite a bat in half right now," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire told the St. Paul Pioneer Press. "He played pretty much every day for us last year, but you know what? I didn't bring Arcia up here to sit on the bench."
