Nelson was a 10th-round draft pick in 2010, so the Twins basically got something for a player they were likely going to non-tender this offseason, as Young was set for arbitration. Nelson was 5-11 with a 4.87 ERA and and a 87:50 K:BB ratio in 105.1 innings. Those are lackluster numbers, but the Twins must see something they like. He'll report to High-A Fort Myers.
