Carlos Peguero

Peguero earned himself a September callup in 2014 after logging 30 home runs at Triple-A Omaha, but only saw nine at-bats with the big league club. Although an isolated power mark of .296 in the minors last year seems intriguing, it's a little less desirable when paired with a 33 percent strikeout rate. His struggles to make contact make him a potential power option off the bench in a best-case scenario, but Peguero is likely better suited to provide organizational depth at the minor league level in his age-28 season. He'd need several injuries and a hot streak to work his way into fantasy relevance, even in deeper AL-only leagues.
