Tom Windle

Windle entered 2014 on the fringe of the prospect conversation after excelling in a brief 53.2-inning stint at Low-A in 2013, where he had a 2.68 ERA and a 51:20 K:BB ratio. However, in a much larger sample against better competition, he managed only a 4.26 ERA in 139.1 innings at High-A Rancho Cucamonga. Windle's low-90s fastball could tick up in a bullpen role, and he might even become a solid late-innings option, playing his slider off the cheese, which wouldn't be a bad outcome for a former second-round pick. However, that’s not what fantasy owners are looking for out of a pitching prospect with no experience at Double-A. He'll take that step in the Phillies' organization in 2015 after being included in the deal that sent Jimmy Rollins to the Dodgers.
