2009
Acquired for Jose Bautista in August of 2008, Diaz may be the answer to which player played for the most teams in 2008. Diaz saw action for no fewer than six levels within the Toronto and Pittsburgh organizations. Robinson has hit only 15 home runs in parts of seven minor-league campaigns, but does feature a lifetime .304 batting average. It will likely take an injury for Diaz to see the majors in 2009, but that's hardly a stretch with the likes of Ryan Doumit, Jason Jaramillo and Raul Chavez ahead of him.
2008
Diaz managed a nice .320/.346/.413 composite line split between two levels in the minors before seeing his season cut short with a broken hand. He hasn't flashed any sort of power in the minors though, and is unlikely to do so now that he's 24 years old. His path to the majors will largely hinge on where Curtis Thigpen eventually plays once reaching the majors.
