2010
Ryal put together decent numbers at Triple-A Reno and parlayed those results into a September callup with the D-Backs. The Pacific Coast League helped his power numbers, as Ryal matched his career high with 17 homers in just 446 minors league at-bats. The downside is that he'll be 27 years old in March and Ryal's plate discipline still leaves something to be desired. Manager A.J. Hinch was pleased with Ryal's limited contributions during the final weeks of the regular season, so he'll compete for a middle-infield bench spot against Augie Ojeda and others during spring training.
