Edinson Rincon

Rincon spent last season at Double-A San Antonio, where his numbers fell off from where they had been in Rookie, Low-A and High-A. Part of his decline was due to the fact that he simply does not have a refined eye at the plate as evidenced by his walk rate of just 4.2 percent last season. If he cannot make the adjustment at Double-A, it is doubtful that he will find sustained success at Triple-A or even the major league level as his other tools, specifically his power, are not strong enough to make up for his lack of plate discipline. Still, there is time for Rincon at only 22 years old to make the necessary adjustments and improve his stock as a middling prospect.
