ANALYSIS
The journeyman reliever has logged 29.1 MLB innings while spending time with the Tigers, Twins and Royals. He does not hold any fantasy value at the moment, and will look to catch on with a fourth organization on a minor league deal.

Past Fantasy Outlooks

2012
After missing most of 2013 while recovering from Tommy John surgery, Oliveros delivered dominant numbers in relief while splitting his season between Double-A and Triple-A, finishing with a cumulative 1.67 ERA and 87 strikeouts over 64.2 innings. He struggled in a September callup but displayed a 93.8 mph average fastball. With the Twins needing high-velocity arms in the bullpen, Oliveros will have a shot at a middle-relief role in spring training.
Oliveros was traded to Minnesota from Detroit for Delmon Young and will try to win a spot in the Minnesota bullpen this spring. He started last season strong with an 0.56 ERA and 27:4 K:BB ratio in 16 innings for Double-A Erie. He struggled after he was promoted to Triple-A with a 6.10 ERA and 30:17 K:BB ratio in 31 innings. Despite his Triple-A struggles, he was called up to Minnesota in September and had mixed results. He's had outstanding strikeout rates in the minors (and even struck out nine batters in 13.1 major league innings with the Twins), but has struggled with his control. He has a mid-90s fastball, so it's possible the Twins could refine his skills into a productive setup man. Until then, he'll likely spend much of the season at Triple-A.
