RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2013

There was no outlook written for Trent Oeltjen.

2011

Oeltjen has bounced around a bit the last couple years, and as of December, finds himself without a team. In over 3,500 career minor league at-bats, the Australian owns a .295/.360/.424 batting line, but because he doesn't have one standout tool, it's difficult to see Oeltjen as anything more than organizational depth going forward.

2010

After spending most of 2009 at Triple-A Reno, Oeltjen received a late-season callup to Arizona and had his first taste of big league pitching. His plate discipline isn't anything to write home about, but he's got a little bit of pop and better than average speed, which may be enough for him to stick as a left-handed option off the bench. After signing with Milwaukee, he'll get a shot to provide a left-handed outfield bat off the bench for the Brewers.
