2013
There was no outlook written for Zach Kroenke.
2011
A two-time Rule 5 selection, Kroenke started 2010 as a reliever before getting a taste of the rotation at Triple-A Reno and his first big league start against the Dodgers in October. The D-Backs appear willing to give him another chance as a starter this time around, but he'll turn 27 in April and the lack of strikeouts at Triple-A over the past two seasons (6.6 K/9IP) suggest that he's a fringe option for that role in the big leagues. In either role, there's not much here to get excited about.
2009
Kroenke was plucked from the Yankees' system during the Rule 5 draft in December, while he'll likely compete for a spot in the Marlins' bullpen as a left-handed option during spring training. In 41 appearances between Double- and Triple-A last season, Kroenke had a 54:28 K:BB ratio while limiting the opposition to 35 hits in 53.2 innings. If he doesn't stick in Florida, the Yankees may be happy to get him back given that most of their young relief options throw from the right side. From a fantasy perspective, he's too much of a dart right now to consider him as a staff filler in drafts this spring.
