RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2013

There was no outlook written for Mike Nickeas.

2012

Nickeas is in position to be the right platoon mate to Josh Thole behind the plate this season following the decision to non-tender Ronny Paulino. Don't expect Nickeas to see much action and he could be supplanted during the spring depending on the competition the Mets bring in to contend for the job.

2011

Nickeas, acquired in 2006 from Texas for Victor Diaz, had a surprisingly productive minor league season in Double-A Binghamton to make his way up the ladder. He is organizational depth and should spend most, if not all, of 2011 at Triple-A Buffalo.
