Lucas Harrell

After starting the season in the minor leagues, Harrell reemerged in the major leagues just before the All-Star Break and pitched surprisingly well. In five starts with the Braves, the right-hander compiled a 3.38 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and allowed just one home run. The Braves wisely decided to sell high on him, sending him to the hitter-friendly park in Arlington with the Rangers. As expected, he performed much better when he wasn't in the sultry Texas heat, but his overall numbers hiked up upon the change of scenery, as his ERA jumped to 5.40 and his WHIP leaped to 1.92 while giving up 1.5 homers per nine innings. Harrell signed a minor league contract with the Blue Jays, where he'll likely head to Triple-A to act as an organizational depth piece, although he could compete for a spot in the big leagues if he's willing to move to the bullpen.
