2011
Rizzotti, a sixth-round selection in the 2007 draft, shot through the Phillies' minor league system and finished his year at Triple-A Lehigh Valley. The Phillies saw enough from Rizzotti that they sent him to the Arizona Fall League and then added him to their 40-man roster this winter. Rizzotti will need to keep hitting to make his way to the majors as his defense at first base needs work, and he lacks the athleticism to play in the outfield. His chances of getting to the majors with the Phillies will be difficult as he is blocked by Ryan Howard. The inability to play another position makes Rizzotti a possible trade candidate this year, so he'll open the season back at Lehigh Valley.
