ANALYSIS
Jones originally came up through the Red Sox organization and made 11 appearances for Boston in 2009. He was eventually traded to Florida as part of the deal that landed Jeremy Hermida after the 2009 season. In 2010, he underwent Tommy John surgery and was released by the Marlins later that season. He rehabbed the elbow throughout the 2011 season and most recently pitched for Aguilas de Zulia in the Venezuelan Winter League.
