2010
Jones was roughed up in his 11-game stint with Boston in 2009 after a few seasons of middling success in the minors. He's a big-bodied lefty who can work multiple innings out of the pen. Jones had some success against lefties, but his history doesn't suggest an abnormal effectiveness against hitters from either side of the plate.
2008
An undrafted free agent signed in 2005, Jones was converted from starter to reliever by Boston. He's a big lefty who likes to attack hitters with his two-seam and four-seam fastball and possesses a circle change and curveball. He's not high on the prospect list.
