Herrmann made 40 appearances out of the Cleveland bullpen without much in the way of encouraging results (5.11 ERA, 1.544 WHIP, 5.4 K/9IP). He'll compete for a low-leverage bullpen spot this spring, but will need to hold off some power arms in order to lock down a spot. He won't have a fantasy-significant role in any event, but he's a good bet to improve slightly from last year's effort.
2011
Herrmann earned a callup by dominating at Triple-A Columbus to start the season, allowing one earned run in 28.2 innings of relief. He was serviceable out of the Cleveland bullpen and figures to be back in a middle-relief role again for the Tribe, but we're not talking about a dominant setup man with an opportunity to pitch his way into the ninth-inning picture in the near future.
