There was no outlook written for Luke Montz.

2009

Montz came from out of nowhere to destroy Double-A pitching in 2008, but his numbers after two promotions look more in line with his previous history. He's got power, but prior to last season he'd struggled with his batting average, and that figures to be the trend going forward. The second coming of Mike Piazza he isn't; at best, he'll be a major league backup with a bit of pop.
