RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2013

There was no outlook written for Drew Sutton.

2010

Sutton took awhile to get a chance with the Reds, first coming down with mono after the Reds acquired him for Jeff Keppinger in April. Though his playing time was limited, Sutton didn't do much in his at-bats with the team. He'll be a utility infielder for the Reds, and probably ride the Cincy-Louisville shuttle much like he did in 2009.

2009

Sutton had a big year with Double-A Corpus Christi, hitting .317/.408/.523 with 20 homers, 39 doubles, 69 RBI and 20 steals (27 chances) in 520 at-bats. He'll turn 26 in June, so the fact that he's never been above Double-A limits his upside. Last year's success could allow him to compete for a job with the big league team in spring training, but more likely he'll end up starting the year at Triple-A Round Rock.
