RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2013

There was no outlook written for Ryan Rohlinger.

2011

Rohlinger actually hit pretty well in Triple-A Fresno last year, posting an .869 OPS over 283 at-bats, but at age 27, he's not taken seriously as a prospect. He received just 15 at-bats in San Francisco and has hit .136/.186/.197 over 66 career at-bats in the big leagues. Rohlinger should once again spend the majority of his time in Triple-A in 2011.

2010

Rohlinger is a former first-round pick who’s had a decent minor league career, but he’s hit just .118 over 51 at-bats with the Giants during his time in the majors. It’s obviously a small sample size, but he’s not viewed as a long-term option at third base inside the organization, so Rohlinger is looking at more time in Triple-A Fresno in 2010.

2009

Rohlinger actually found himself acting as San Francisco’s starting third baseman at one point last season, but he finished batting .094 with a hideous .309 OPS. The former first-round pick needs more time in the minors and shouldn’t be back in San Francisco until rosters expand in September.
