RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2013

There was no outlook written for Omir Santos.

2012

Santos made 11 appearances with the Tigers last season, but he spent most of his time with Triple-A Toledo. With a career slash line of .252/.286/.371 in 118 appearances, Santos is destined to continue serving as organizational depth behind the plate.

2010

Santos seemingly came out of nowhere, forcing the Mets to trade Ramon Castro and sit Brian Schneider due to his fine play behind the plate. Despite his solid season, the Mets signed Chris Coste and Henry Blanco this offseason and may look to sign a full-time starting catcher, which likely means that Santos will start 2010 back at Triple-A.
