2012
Infante failed to reach the majors in 2011, but he did reach Triple-A Charlotte for the first time in his career after starting the year with 15.1 scoreless innings at Double-A Birmingham. His fastball has reportedly hit 100 mph in previous seasons, but his strikeout rate dipped from to 11.32 K/9IP in 2010 to 7.48 at Triple-A while his walk rate was an ugly 3.93/9IP. That walk rate will have to come down if he wants to play a role in the White Sox's set-up game in 2012, but he could stick on the Opening Day roster with an impressive showing this spring.
2011
The White Sox recalled Infante from Double-A Birmingham in September thanks to a high-90s fastball that helped him strike out 69 in 60 innings between High-A Winston Salem and Birmingham. He lives and dies by the fastball, but he could factor into the short-relief equation at some point during the 2011 campaign.
