2012
Perdomo had a 5.40 ERA and 51:46 K:BB ratio in 71.2 innings at Triple-A Tuscon last year. Perdomo has walked too many batters in his minor league career to think he'll have a legitimate shot to win a role in the Minnesota bullpen.
2010
Perdomo was the sixth pick in the 2008 Rule 5 draft, taken by the Giants and later traded to the Padres. He didn't embarrass himself, but problems with location led to a high home-run rate and the likelihood that absent the Rule 5 clause, he would not have stayed in the majors. The Padres have a bunch of pitchers like this, many younger and more effective than Perdomo. You don't want him.
