2012
Hoffman worked out of the bullpen in 2011, making 49 of his 50 appearances with Double-A Erie. He finished the season 2-5 with a 3.45 ERA and 45:25 K:BB ratio in 62.2 innings. The lefty reliever usually hovers between 90-95 mph with his fastball, but his slider often comes off as flat. He'll have to prove himself at the Triple-A level before getting a legit shot with the Tigers.
