2012
Salcedo continues to climb the ranks of the Minnesota prospect list after a productive season at Low-A at just 20 years old. Salcedo had a strong 2.93 ERA for Beloit with good control (1.80 BB/9IP). His strikeout rate was somewhat disappointing (6.13 K/9IP), however. Salcdedo has a low-90s fastball, but his velocity could improve as he fills out a wiry frame. If he begins the season strong at High-A, he could be on the fast track to the majors. However, we'll need to see a better strikeout rate before we get too excited about his potential.
