Price, a right-handed pitcher who was drafted out of Virginia Tech in the eighth round of the 2010 draft, is in Fort Myers (Fla.) with the Red Sox rehabbing after undergoing Tommy John surgery last fall, WEEI.com reports.

2012

Price received a few late-season appearances after returning from Tommy John surgery. His fastball-changeup combo is the key to any success he has at this stage, in addition to getting back the command he had prior to the 2010 surgery. Look for him to start the season with Low-A Greenville.

2011

Price was drafted by Boston in the eighth round of the 2010 draft with the understanding that he might need elbow surgery. After initially trying to rehab the elbow, it was decided that he would undergo Tommy John surgery in the fall of 2010. He'll spend the 2011 season rehabbing the elbow. The Red Sox like his sinking fastball (92-94 mph) and above-average change, though his curveball needs development. At any rate, getting him throwing again is the first step in the process.
