RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2016

There was no outlook written for Robert Coello.

2011

Coello is one of two Independent League finds to play for Boston in 2010. The catcher-turned-pitcher was converted to a reliever last year and had high strikeout rates, but also walked a lot of batters. The chances of Boston, a team that experienced some bullpen meltdowns in 2010, going to battle with Coello in the bullpen is unlikely. To some extent, he's still learning how to pitch and the Red Sox would be better served to let him throw a full season of relief at Triple-A.
