Martinez was the big prize in last season's Doug Fister trade with Detroit. Martinez hit .310 after the trade at Double-A Jackson with an .807 OPS. Overall, he walked 23 times compared to 104 strikeouts as his plate discipline needs work. Just 21, he's likely headed back to Jackson to begin the 2012 season.
