2012
Young will join Detroit as a non-roster invitee this spring. He struggled in his first cup of coffee at the major league level last year, hitting just .208/.269/.229 in 48 at-bats with the Braves. The 29-year-old outfielder has been a decent source of batting average and stolen bases throughout his minor league career, but his time to make a crack at a major league roster is wearing thin.
2011
Young will be 28 this season, so he's not a top prospect. But after hitting hit .308/.380/.407 with 39 stolen bases for Triple-A Gwinnett last season, he's being given strong consideration for a reserve role in the majors. He has the speed to be useful in many fantasy formats if he makes the major league roster in a reserve role.
