RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Terry Doyle.
Doyle jumped onto the White Sox organization's prospect list after a strong showing in the 2011 Arizona Fall League, during which he held opposing batters to a .135 average and only walked five in 27.1 innings. Doyle does not throw hard, but he can eat innings and keep the ball on the ground. The Twins selected him in the Rule 5 draft in December, which could prove to be a costly mistake for the White Sox if injuries strike their rotation. Nevertheless, his chances of success while pitching to contact will improve significantly now that he'll get an opportunity to pitch half of his games at the cavernous Target Field. If he stays in the majors he'll likely work in long relief with the Twins, but he could add depth at Triple-A if Minnesota works out a deal to keep him in the organization.
