RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks

2014

There was no outlook written for Jhonatan Solano.

2013

Solano briefly looked like a solution for the Nationals behind the plate after Wilson Ramos got hurt, hitting .314 with two home runs in 12 games after being called up, but an oblique injury cut Solano's season short and when he finally got healthy he was sent back down to Double-A. That 12-game run might end up being the highlight of his career, as he does not figure to be anything more than a defense-first backup in the long run.
