RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Ryan Eades.
Minnesota drafted Eades with the 43rd overall pick in the 2013 draft out of LSU and he had a disappointing professional debut. Eades had a 4.60 ERA with a 13:12 K:BB ratio in 15.2 innings for Elizabethton of the rookie Appalachian League. While Eades has a fastball that can touch the mid-90s, his control has been a worry and those concerns were highlighted in his debut. However, it was a small sample size and scouts generally think he could develop into a mid-rotation starter based on his velocity and above-average curveball. We'll get a better read on his true prospect status after his first full season of professional baseball in 2014.
