Gore went 1-for-4 with a walk and an RBI against Low-A West Virginia on Sunday. He was also caught stealing for just the sixth time this season and is now 59-for-65 on the base paths this season. Though he failed in his bid for his 60th steal of the season, Gore continues to draw high praise from Royals Assistant General Manager J.J. Piccolo with respect to his speed and improved work at the plate. "He's a pleasure to work with, he's got great make-up, he wants to learn, he wants to apply," Picollo said. "Really, anytime he gets on first base, there's a pretty good chance he's going to be on second within a pitch or two and possibly even on third base before the big hitters come to bat," he added. "It's a great weapon. It's the reason he was signed."
