RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Jake Reed.
The former closer for the University of Oregon was taken by the Twins in the fifth round of the 2014 draft. Reed posted a minuscule 0.29 ERA and 0.45 WHIP in 20 appearances between rookie-level Elizabethon and Low-A Cedar Rapids during the regular season to earn an invite to the Arizona Fall League. He picked up right where he left off, allowing just one run in 12.2 innings with a 10:3 K:BB ratio. Reed could advance quickly through the minors next season and be poised for a major league bullpen role in early 2016, if he duplicates last season's success.
