ANALYSIS
Less than a week after being sent outright to Triple-A Worcester, Dermody will now look to latch on with a new organization. The 32-year-old lefty has been struggling of late, allowing three runs across four innings in his lone MLB start June 8 and 11 runs over 14 innings in his last three minor-league appearances. Dermody was having a decent season in Worcester before slumping, so it's very possible another organization signs him to a minor-league deal.

2017 Fantasy Outlook
Dermody made an unusual climb through the ranks on his way to being a September callup with the Jays in 2016. The left-handed reliever went a combined 3-1 with 1.82 ERA across three minor league levels including High-A, Double-A and Triple-A. It's been quite a ride for Dermody, who was drafted four times over the course of his career, the last of which was by Toronto in the 28th round in 2013. At his best, the 26-year-old deals a low-90s fastball with a solid curveball and changeup. He's always thrown strikes, has a low-effort delivery and an athletic body. With fellow southpaw reliever Brett Cecil departing for St. Louis, the team will have a void to fill. Although there are other options, Dermody seemingly has the most potential and isn't far from becoming a staple in a major league bullpen.
