Past Fantasy Outlooks
2005
2004
2003
Cordero lost basically the whole year to a knee injury. It seems like he's been around forever but he's still only 33 years old. He'll serve in a utility and pinch-hitting role for Washington.
Cordero was handed the starting job at first base for the Expos when Jeff Liefer flamed out, and his performance was positively Lee Stevens-esque. He could be a decent platoon bat for someone in 2004.
Strangely, Cordero returns to the Expos in 2003. If the team has another revolving door in centerfield he could see semi-regular playing time in left, but otherwise he figures to be a somewhat pricey bench bat.
