Ventura adjusted well to his bench role with the Dodgers. He signed a modest contract to continue in that role with the Dodgers in 2004. Don't expect him to receive more than 300 at-bats again.

2003

Back for another season after Drew Henson proved beyond a reasonable doubt that he wouldn't be ready for the 2003 season, if ever. Ventura's second half raises some concern. He could possibly platoon with Todd Zeile.
