RotoWire's Preseason Outlooks
There was no outlook written for Terry Mulholland.
Father Time may have finally caught up with Mulholland, as at age 42 his strikeout rates plummeted. He may catch on somewhere as a lefty specialist, but it's hard to see him playing any kind of significant role.
Mulholland will try to win a job again as a long reliever/spot starter for the Twins this spring. He's not a good bet at age 42 to repeat even last season's modest success.
Mulholland wants to start in the majors, but that's an unlikely scenario. He'll get innings because of his "veteran" and left-handed status, but he's well past his roto-prime.
Back to back awful years by Terry makes us wonder if this isn't all she wrote. His contract makes it likely he'll be on the Opening Day roster and LH specialist out of a very bad Cleveland pen.
