2006
Powell worked his way back from Tommy John surgery only to suffer an ugly injury after returning to the majors where he broke his arm during a normal delivery. His career is in doubt after this latest injury and he'll need to show he's fully healthy before consideration in any fantasy league.
2005
July Tommy John surgery will sideline Powell most of the 2005 season.
2004
When a 32-year old reliever starts toying with a sidearm delivery, he's desperate and likely not very good. Texas elected to eat Todd Van Poppell's contract, something they may well do with Powell later in 2004.
2003
A spring training hand injury sidelined him until early June. Upon his return, he was his usual reliable self, allowing just six runs in his last 28 appearances.
