Cabrera had a fine season in his first year in the Phils' system, posting a 2.76 ERA in 45.2 innings with a 33:10 K:BB ratio. Following the massive turnover in the Phillies' bullpen, he might earn a spot on the Opening Day roster as a middle reliever.
2003
Cabrera will probably not be offered a contract in the offseason and become a free agent. He served as a spot starter and middle reliever for the Brewers in 2002 and posted a 6.79 ERA in 103 1/3 innings. Ouch.
